Parking Blocks Rubber

Rubber parking lot blocks are an innovation for the 21st century property owner or site manager. In parking lots, garages and even work sites, rubber car stops perform the same role as the old cement block. They just happen to perform it with 100 percent recycled and lightweight rubber. These garage parking blocks have several advantages over the cement kind. If the purchaser is responsible to share holders, a business boss or a municipality, the purchaser will be able to demonstrate that the purchase is intelligent, cost efficient and environmentally responsible.

Cement blocks weigh too much for anyone to lift. They must be made near the site because transporting their individual, much less collective, weight is so costly. They require heavy equipment at the site because it is impossible for anyone to lift them into place. Once they are secured, it is unlikely that a property manager will attempt to have them moved, even if they become a problem. Most property owners just can’t keep that kind of heavy equipment on hand.

Compare that to the rubber parking lot blocks which are lightweight and easy for an individual employee to lift, move and place. They can be shipped from a store, such as the Traffic Store, because they are competitively priced, unlike cement blocks. They can be secured — and even removed and re-secured — without the use of heavy moving equipment.

The rubber car stops have three types of hardware mounts. This allows them to be secured appropriately, whether it’s in gravel, asphalt or cement. They are attractive with yellow or white markings that ensure visibility in dim or dark areas. They come in three sizes: 3 feet, 4 feet, and 6 feet. There are even 22 inch home garage parking blocks that do not require hardware.

Their recycled materials keep 3.4 tires out of the landfill for every 6 footer. This means that every block is a “green” one whether it comes in traditional black, upscale terracotta brown or handicapped blue.

In addition, rubber garage parking blocks look good in any location. The manufacturing process ensures that the rubber parking lot blocks resist wear and tear. They will look good for many years and will not crumble or decay like cement car stops. Rain, snow and sun do not alter their composition.

Another difference between cement and rubber stops is the uh-oh factor. Drivers run into blocks. They drive over them. They walk into them or trip over them. Cement is unforgiving, tearing at bumpers and undercarriages. It can jar and loosen the vehicle frame. Cement blocks stub toes and trip walkers. On the other hand, rubber blocks are soft, causing minimal jarring for vehicles that hit them. With their lasting markings, persons are less likely to walk into them and if they do, the jolt will be cushioned by the shock-absorbent rubber.

Smart garage and lot owners are lining up to update their look with these attractive, long lasting and “green” 21st century parking blocks.
