Everywhere cars are parked or pull into need to have some kind of mechanism or equipment to enable the driver know that they have reached the end and need to stop so as to avoid hitting the wall or anything else. Whether it is pulling up in the drive way, garage or parking lot, equipment like cars stops is necessary to stop the car when it reaches the space required to be covered by the car. There are several equipments depending on where they are being used that can be installed to act as car stops. For instance car stops for garage are used to stop cars that are pulling into the garage to avoid moving ahead too far. The stops are fixed on the floor of the garage at a point where it seems fit to stop the moving car. They can be permanently fixed to never be removed or just temporary and later on removed. How the car stops for garage work is that when the car is moving forward, the driver feels the tires hit the car stop and kills the engine at that point. They car stops are small in height but long in length to enable both of the front tires stepping on it.
There are other large stops that are known as parking blocks that can be used to stop moving cars as well in parking lots or garages. A garage block is bigger in height and the car tires cannot go over them so they completely stop the car from moving forward better. The blocks are used as car stops for garage and are also fixed somewhere in the garage where the owner does not want the car reaching or moving past. Garage blocks are made up of several materials but the most common is rubber and concrete. Rubber ones are lighter and easy to install compared to concrete ones that need heavy machinery to place at the required places. They can be bought at several places but mostly places that sell traffic safety equipment such as a traffic store. They are important items especially if you do want to hit a wall or ram your headlight on something therefore breaking it. to save the damage, car stops are a necessity where cars are constantly parked or stopped. Anywhere there is the end of the journey or the last destination requires car stops. Garages are great places where the car stops and moves no further ahead, so having a car stop for a garage or garage block is quite a necessary investment.
In parking lots, there are many cars that move into and out therefore traffic is high at these places. Some parking lots are made in a way that cars are parked beside each other in rows and the other opposite row could be facing it. so as to avoid accidents, parking blocks are placed at exact places where the parking spot ends. The parking block manages to hinder the car being parked hit the one parked on the opposite side.
