Parking Blocks are Environmentally Friendly

Parking lot blocks can be green and lean. Originally, the average parking lot designer or owner had to rely on cement to act as a parking aid. Now garage parking aids have come into the modern age. Parking lot blocks are now manufactured, lightweight and durable.

What’s more, most are ‘green’. That is, they are made from 100 percent recycled waste. Some are 100 percent recycled rubber. Others are made from 100 percent recycled post consumer poly resin. They are saving our landfills while they are protecting vehicles from incidental damage.

Cement car stops have always caused a number of disadvantages for drivers and even pedestrians. First, cement tends to wear away, causing a rough uneven surface over time. Second, you can paint cement but it will wear off quickly due to elements such as cold, heat and moisture. Third, drivers that hit cement stops can damage their front or back end. If they accidently drive up onto them, they can really cause some damage to their vehicle. Finally, pedestrians often don’t see cement stops, and this can lead to nasty falls or broken feet.

On the other hand, the ‘green’ manufactured parking lot blocks cause none of these problems. Manufactured garage parking aids are dyed through and through so walkers and drivers can see their non-fading colors. They are softer and more pliable so no feet are broken and no car frame is dented. They don’t shrink, crumble or turn rough. Instead of being a safety hazard, they actually become safety features for the parking lot. This is true whether it’s busy commuter parking garages or equally busy worksite parking areas.

Manufactured car stops come in several sizes and many colors. With sloping sides, the industrial portable plastic parking block comes in yellow, gray, white and blue. It is designed to resist scuffing and is guaranteed against breakage. Made of 100 percent post consumer plastic, each six foot block keeps 194 milk jugs out of the landfill.

For commercial and business use, the six foot poly resin block is lightweight enough for an individual to carry it. It is resistant to scuffing and damage. Each block keeps 91 milk jugs out of the landfill.

Truck drivers appreciate the 8 foot solid truck parking block. The bright yellow block provides them with a safe place to stop their vehicle and it also keeps 679 milk jugs out of landfills.

Saving 3.4 tires from rolling into landfills, a single recycled rubber reflective parking block is a favorite for uneven surfaces. In three sizes, this block molds easily to its resting place. It comes in three reflective combinations: black with yellow, black with white or handicapped blue with white markings.

For business owners who are keen to show that they are green, manufactured parking blocks demonstrate commitment to the environment. Keeping tires and plastic out of landfills is something any manufactured block purchaser can be proud to be a part of. Isn’t it great that it’s also an improvement over concrete!
